Psst! (2005)

Performed at Franklin Art Works, Minneapolis

Winner Outstanding Production Award at the inaugural Ivey Awards, Minneapolis 2005

Psst!, a mask and dance production inspired by the deadpan characters and austere tone found in the work of Norwegian graphic novelist JASON (mjaumjau.net), is about love's struggle to survive in a jealous and hateful world. With a dozen performers who wear unique 360-degree masks and an imaginative interactive set, Psst! takes the audience upon a journey akin to the surrealistic world of 30's era black and white cartoons, and the melodrama of Fritz Lang's classic expressionist film, Metropolis.
