THE BELLMAN'S SONG (1999) THE BELLMAN'S SONG is a surreal theatrical poem about one man's eternal pursuit of the impossible, after Lewis Carroll's famous poem, The Hunting of the Snark. THE BELLMAN'S SONG finds the Bellman ancient and about to give up on life, when his Nurse, a puckish spirit of the shadows, nurses him back to health, setting him once again upon the quest to capture the elusive creature which represents all our grandest hopes, and uttermost fears. |
